The grease selection for some applications must be made according to the work conditions to which the lubricant will be subject to, especially in terms of temperature and speed (rpm).
The table beside indicates the minimum viscosities required so that the grease's base oil can form the film that protects races and rolling elements.
The chart below indicates the ratio between temperature and viscosity of the lubricant base oil as a reference for selection. Thus, use the table and chart data to ensure that the grease's oil viscosity is the most recommended one for the working temperature of your application.
Regarding the speed, check the “speed factor” item in the table below [shaft speed x mean bearing diameter (D+d)/2].
