The heating temperature selection for the bearings must be defined according to the bearing diameter, and the expected interference, based on the graphic beside.
Precautions to be adopted:
- do not heat the bearing over 120° C;
- heat the bearing near 20~30°C over the required temperature, so that the installation is not made difficult by the internal ring cooling;
- after the installation, the bearing must be firmly pressed against the shaft stop, in order to prevent clearance between them.
Example
To install a 6320 bearing on a 100K5 shaft (measures in mm), it is necessary to heat the internal ring to 90° C: temperature difference (?T) obtained in the chart (30° C) + ambient temperature (30° C) + internal ring cooling temperature (30° C) (to prevent fast cooling problems).
