Oil is the raw material for a series of products, with miscellaneous utilities, such as plastics, fuels and other by-products. Responsible for 2% of the world oil production, Brazil have annual incomes of near US$ 18 billion with the petrochemical industry, and this represents 8% of the Brazilian Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
