As a community mobilization event, the Action and Citizenship project occurs twice a year at the plant located in Suzano, countryside of São Paulo. NSK offers the population free services of legal counseling, haircut, nutritional recommendations and visual acuity tests, sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and AIDS, glycemia and blood pressure, among others.
Aimed at the community of the Alto Tietê, the Action and Citizenship event provides children with recreational activities, such as trampoline, soccer, computer games and video karaoke.
Carried out by the fourth time, on June 25, 2005, the initiative mobilized 60 volunteers, among NSK partners and collaborators, benefiting approximately 600 people. In addition to NSK, other entities collaborated with this action: Associação Mogiana Oficina de Aprendizes, CNA Inglês, DIET, Escola de Cabeleireiros Satie, Escola Técnica Mogiana, MegaByte Informática, Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil – OAB – de Suzano and Serviço Social da Indústria – Sesi
