The installation and removal process for general cases is described below. Components removal is in assembly reversal order.
Installing Bearings
- Before assembling the bearing, you should measure the shaft, housing and attached parts. - Measure shaft and housing dimensions in four circumferential points and 3 axial points. - In order to insert the bearing in its respective housing, make sure to use the proper tool. Interference reduction can be obtained through housing heating. - Install the shaft. - Position the sealings on the cover. - Install sealing covers on the housing. - Install spacer ring (first fill in labyrinth grooves with grease), non-balancing weight and the polley. - Insert the specified oil and check the oil level.
Removing Bearings
- In order to remove the bearing, remove the pulley, non-balancing weight and spacer ring. - Remove sealing cover. - Carefully remove the shaft from the bearing. - Using a proper tool, remove the bearing from the housing. It is convenient to use bore on the housing to help and faciliate removal.
Notes
- When installing bearings, use proper tools only and keep the installation load away from the cage and rolling elements. Use tubular tools that are in contact only with the ring that has interfering adjustment. - Do not cool the bearing below 40°C when installing the housings, as this alters the bearing micro-structure.
