Vibrating Equipment Bearings / Dimensional Tolerances and Radial Internal Clearances
Most manufacturers of vibrating mechanisms recommend that bearings have internal clearance tolerance higher than conventional. At the same time, it is necessary to control the tolerance range of the radial internal clearance in order to optimize the equipment performance.

NSK specification “U15” limits the radial internal clearance to 2/3 of the tolerance range generally recommended.

Table 1 below specifies the radial internal clearance for the most common bearings used in C3U15 and C4U15 vibrating mechanisms.

Note: U15 modification specifies special tolerances for inner and outer ring diameter and also of the radial internal clearance.
