Combined Bearings are formed by a single body set with two or more radial bearing parts. Combinations among angular contact ball bearings and among tapered roller bearings are most frequent. There are three kinds of combinations: face-to-face (DF type), in which the outer rings are joined by the faces; back-to-back (DB type), the rings are joined by the back; and tandem (DT type), when the rings are in the same direction. Types DF and DB combined bearings allow the radial load support and axial load support in both directions. DT type combined bearings are used in case of higher axial loads in a single direction.
