Serving an extensive field of utilization, these bearings are among the most representative types.
Their groove in the inner and outer ring present a laterial shape in arc form, with a radius slightly larger than that of the balls. Apart from the radial load, they enable the support of the axial load in both directions. The friction torque is small, which makes them the most suitable for applications that require low noise and vibration, as well as for places with high rotation speed. They come in the following versions: open, shielded with steel plates, sealed with rubber protection and with retention ring in the external ring.
Generally, steel pressed type cages are used for these bearings.
